One of the world's largest electronic component manufacturers, Samsung Electronics received ISO 26262 certification which is for functional safety in automotive components. With the ISO certification Samsung will enable the capability to sell a series of product lines to a wide range of businesses and to a wide range of products.

Samsung will manufacture 5G Connectivity Modules, Automotive Image Sensors, Automotive Processors, Automotive Sensors including Radar and Ultrasonic, DDR4 RAM modules, eMMC modules, eSE modules, eUFS modules, GDDR6 modules, LPDDR4X modules, Mobile DDI modules, Connectivity Modems, NFC Modules and Components, PowerICs, RF Modules, eSIM Modules.

ISO 26262 has offered by TUV Rheinland which is an independent testing and inspection, service provider, and certificate awarding organization.
