History

Meizu is founded in 2003 by Huang Zhang also known as Jack Wong. The organization is initially focused on manufacturing and developing MP3 players. Afterward, Meizu launched the MP4 player to the market.

Meizu released their first cellular device in 2007 in the Chinese market. Meizu expanded to Hong Kong as their first outreach to the world and then Meizu expanded to the countries around China.
