2. History

Harman is a company that got predecessor from Harman Kardon which was founded by Sidney Harman and Bernard Kardon in 1953. Sidney Harman bought out his partner Bernard Kardon in 1956 and acquired the full stake of the company.

After the acquiring full stake of the company it got renamed as Harman International Industries, Sidney Harman expanded the business into an audio powerhouse concept that could cater to global needs.

Harman International Industries expanded the business by investing in multiple ranges of products including car windshields, projection displays and etc... Harman International was acquired by Samsung which is one of the world's largest companies based in South Korea on 10th March 2017 and operates as a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics.
