1. What is Grab?

Grab is a ride-hailing app focused on Southeast Asia. Grab provides ride-hailing, ride-sharing, food delivery, and logistics services to users. Grab provides services to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, and Cambodia.

Grab was the competitor for Uber in the South East Asian region including Malaysia and Singapore in many different ways.

2. History

Grab is a Singapore based company founded by Anthony Tan and Tan Hooi Ling in June 2012. Grab conquered operations in South East Asia serving a large number of the customer base. Grab merged with Uber in March 2018 for Uber's Southeast Asian operations.

Grab is a privately held company currently headquartered in Singapore.
