1. What is EMUI?

EMUI is a firmware developed by Huawei for its handheld devices based on the Android kernel. In the beginning, Huawei named EMUI as Emotion UI which later shortened to EMUI.

EMUI was used in all handheld type devices manufactured by Huawei.

2. Versions of EMUI

The initial release of EMUI was made available by Huawei with the Android 2.3 operating system.
