History
Canon is founded by Takeshi Mitarai, Goro Yoshida, Saburo Unchida, and Takeo Maeda on 10th August 1937. Canon is Japanese camera manufacture from the very beginning of the company. Canon's first official name was Precision Optical Industry Co., Ltd. Canon introduced the prototype of Japan's very first 35mm camera under the name of Kwanon which is very similar to Canon what we call the company today.Canon operates as a multinational organization and does have a presence all over the world. Canon is publicly traded on two stock exchanges which are, Tokyo Stock Exchange under the code of 7751 and the New York Stock Exchange under the code of CAJ.
