Bluetooth 1.2 is the version which released after the Bluetooth v1.1. With the advancements in Bluetooth 1.1, Bluetooth 1.2 got even advanced as a technology platform.

Bluetooth version 1.2 used the same UHF signals within the frequency range of 2.4GHz to 2.485GHz to operate the wireless technology.
Bluetooth 1.2 was the initial version where it enabled the feature to enable the discovery of devices by Bluetooth technology. In addition, by enhancing the RSSI or Received Signal Strength Indicator, a new feature got implemented named faster connection.
Bluetooth v1.2 adopted the frequency hopping spread spectrum of AFH to avoid the interference issues which occurred in the Bluetooth version 1.0, 1.0B, and 1.1.
By making a new record, Bluetooth 1.2 achieved a higher speed up to 721Kbit/s of transferring data by using the wireless Bluetooth technology.
In Bluetooth version 1.2, the technology got embedded with extended synchronous connections also known as eSCO. eSCO enabled the capability of improving data packet quality and avoiding corrupted data packets by synchronizing with both devices and getting updates of the quality of data packets received by the transmitting device and re-transmitting any data packets which got corrupted.
Bluetooth version 1.2 adopted IEEE 802.15.1-2005 standard to improve the transmission quality.
Further, the Bluetooth version 1.2 got advanced with Host Controller Interface also known as HCI to operate with three-wire UART.
