Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX) - General Info

By canceling and buying all the shares held by the Stock Exchange of Singapore (SES), Singapore International Monetary Exchange (SIMEX), and Security Clearing and Computer Services PTE LTD (SCCS) for the companies in Singapore, Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX) formed on 1st of December 1999. Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX) is the second listed exchange in the Asia Pacific.

Singapore Stock Exchange bought a 5% stake in the Bombay Stock Exchange in March of 2007 for USD 42.7 Mn. On 31st of January 2008, the Singapore Stock Exchange acquired a 20% stake in Philippine Dealing System Holdings Corp.

Partnering with NASDAQ OMX, The Mellanox, HP Solution, and initiating USD 250Mn Singapore Stock Exchange created the world's fastest trading engine. In a benchmark test done in 2010 Singapore Stock Exchange achieved a record-breaking average order response time of fewer than 90 microseconds door to door.
