Government Banned Facebook to Kill Communication Channels

Sri Lankan government banned Facebook to kill communication channels from the areas in Kandy to stop spreading news and live updates.

Cabinet Minister Rajitha Senarathne Says that the government has blocked access to Facebook to prevent the spread of hate speeches.

The government of Sri Lanka has failed to provide security to the public and blocking access to media channels that are available for the public to get information.
