AirAsia Launching Airport Clearance by Fast Airport Clearance Experience System

Asia's low budget airliner wants to cut expenses and make the flying cheap for its customers. AirAsia Launched Fast Airport Clearance Experience System named by FACES as Malaysia's very first airport facial recognition system with a self-boarding gate whether there won't be any airport official waiting to give the ticket and to tear up the ticket. This program was launched at Senai International Airport in Johor Bahru.

AirAsia is the world's leading organization to adopt technology which will help the customers with a lower airfare as well as with a smooth process flow in the organization. Tony Fernandes proved that building a budget airliner from the very beginning isn't easy unless you adopt technology and smart pricing bidding towards the organization.

"Airports are typically the worst part of flying. FACES marks our latest effort to make the on-ground experience more seamless and less stressful by using cutting edge biometric technology to authenticate guests. With FACES, your face is your passport making it breeze to clear the gate and board your flight."  - Tony Fernandes, Group CEO of AirAsia

AirAsia further stated that the guests who wish to be part of FACES may do so using a dedicated enrolment kiosk located at the check-in kiosk area at Senai International Airport. By using the MyKad or the chip-enabled passport in the document reader and by looking at the camera, passengers can get the biometric token. Also to mention this service available only for the passengers above 18 years old. This token is a one-time use token and people can update on the expiry of the existing valid documents.
