Apple announced its homepod something like amazon Alexa and google home. But when it comes to apple homepod, you won't be able to build it on your own because of software and firmware issues.

It is powered by Apple-designed A8 chip, high excursion woofer, six microphone array, twelve tweeter array and most certainly with the capacity of accessing Siri. But this device doesn't have a battery inbuilt.

HomePod simply responds to your voice and as well as HomePod can be manipulated by basic tapping functions as a single tap for pause and play music, double-tap to the next track in the list, triple tap to the previous track, touch and hold to access Siri, tap or hold + to volume up and tap and hold - to volume down.
In addition, Apple says that the new Homepod can connect with two HomePods and make the stereo feature which can give an amazing experience. But the price tag says USD 349.00. Well if you are an apple lover and have fallen love with the device you can purchase this. But if you are a DIY person who can build something better with the Alexa open source code and the hardware which can be purchased over eBay or amazon accordingly with your requirement.
Apple claims that this device will be an intelligent device that can make things easier. But you need to be an apple device owner to get things done easily with HomePod. There are pros and cons to the device. For people who are willing to go for it, we believe it's a good choice but again if you are a DIY person you should really amazing projects that you can do it on your own with a really lower budget.
